Does anyone have any milkshake recipes? I think I have a good idea how I could make some up, but if existing recipes are there I'd like to see some to get an idea.

Thanks

Hi. Any nut milk with bananas and you have the perfect milkshake base. I like a combo of walnuts and cashews for a malt flavored base or almonds for your classic milk shake taste. Then blueberries... mmmm. Hee hee. Its even good as a base for green smoothies. Or add some vanilla and yum. And with walnuts and cashews, you don't have to worry about soaking them. You can do it super quick. For thick and creamy, use a 1:2 of nuts and water and for a lighter shake 1:3. =]

Enjoy

I like this one:

1c. water
1 c. ice
1-2 frozen bananas (peel and slice before freezing)
pinch salt
dash vanilla
a bit of agave
1/2 c. almonds
1 1/2 T cacao powder
Blend well. Vitamix works best but I've done it w/ a regular blender, too.
Yummy!

When I make milkshakes, I don't bother using nut milk. I just blend nuts with water and add fruit, dried fruit, frozen fruit or cacao with some ice. You won't notice the texture of the nuts because of the thickness added by the fruits/ice.

Okay, so here is my morning's version - a take-off from gone raw recipe because of what I had on hand

2 frozen bananas
splash of vanilla
1 T agave
1 T cashew butter
3 T carob powder
1/2 - 3/4 citrus kombucha (Whole Foods)

Blended and yummy really smooth like a milkshake.
I think the secret ingredient is the kombucha because of its effervescence.

There are so many good ones listed. I have as yet to make a nut mylk, but it sounds interesting.

I love adding blueberries to any of the many basic banana milkshakes that have been posted....the beautiful color alone makes them taste wonderful.
