My name is Melissa and I am a mother to a 2 yr old.
A friend of on another forum recommended the raw to everyone. I have heard great things about it and wanted to try to do it for a month and see how it goes. So wish me luck? Got any ideas/recipes that I have to try as a newbie!

Good luck! I think you'll love it! There are recipes on this forum and a couple of websites goneraw.com and livingmom.net(click health and then on the right hand side click recipes). Alissa's book has recipes also. They're simple and I think the book is well worth the money. Keep us posted!

I just thought of something else. The first time I went raw I didn't eat enough so I was starving and went back to cooked food. The next time, thanks to Alissa's advice, I made sure I had plenty of food and it made it much easier and more enjoyable!

Hello and a big welcome to you CosmoRaw! I've found that reading some of the blogs everyday really encourages me to keep going with this. You will learn so much from others' experiences. I'd read "StarFire's" and "Morn's". All of us have plenty worth blogging about actually. Looking forward to seeing more of you around here.
Sue.

The best thing you could do is get Alissa's book and DVD. They really let you know what the raw food lifestyle is all about and there is a section that is dedicated to recipes. Also, the DVD shows Alissa's making several different recipes that you'll love. Good Luck!!!
