I've had acne for a long time. But I also get this other thing. It's like gunk that can be squeezed out of many pores. I get them on my face, chest, back, arms, legs, basically everywhere. I wouldn't call them pimples though. They are really small bumps and they don't leave scars at all, unless I really mess with them. They are a nuisance. I also have what seems like inflammed hair follicles in a couple places. What's the deal with all this stuff? How do I get rid of it?

Keratosis Pilaris. Do you get them on your arms and legs? I'm not 100% raw all the time as I do eat steamed veggies every once in a while, but they only completely went away when I stopped eating cooked meat, grains and dairy. I had it for years until I went raw. They higher a food is in protein when it is cooked the more physical symptoms it causes. I pasted a link about it and of course they say there is no cure, but I know better! :)

That sounds like the things at the base of the hairs. Unfortunately those are most prevalent in certain not to be spoken of regions. But the other things, with the gunk coming out of pores, is something else. The KP stuff doesn't come out unless you really squeeze hard, and that gets it pretty irritated.

So would raw protein be bad, such as raw eggs, raw meat, yogurt? What about oatmeal? Yeah, I don't eat all vegan and raw, but I don't plan on changing that completely any time soon. If you're wondering I DO eat raw food. Green smoothie almost every day.
It's minor on the back of my arms. Not much on my legs, if anything. With the real problem area I can see some kind of lighter colored gunk underneath the skin, and it's hard. Kind of like tiny pebbles. They are really annoying and embarrasing.
