I bought a frozen durian the other day. I left it out on the counter to defrost for about 48 hours. I went to open it last night and I noticed these teeny tiny gray bugs darting around. I was so grossed out that I took it outside to open it and feed it to the wildlife. When I opened it there didn't seem to be any bugs INSIDE. They just seemed to be living in the spikes. There were small holes in the spikes where it looked like these critters tunneled in...or out?
So has anyone else exp this? Should I have eaten it?
FWIW-I thought it smelled a lot like vanilla pudding with fresh fruit. Dh said it smelled like old puke fermenting in the sun. :rolleyes:
