I was juicing a lot this morning and was wondering what to do with the pulp. So, I start searching on this forum and found a lot of tips and recipes. I have a dehdrator for a few days (borrowed from a friend) so, I tried to make crackers with carrot, orange and ginger pulp and added some honey, olive oil and cinnamon, sunflower seeds and sesame seeds. They are really delicious. I want to thank all of you for the inspiration :)

I tried to post the picture here, but that didnt work out. You can find it in the 30 days challenge area.

Pineapple,
They look great, but I would suggest that if you have coconut oil it might enhance the flavor of the sweeter ingredients instead of using olive oil.

Here is the recipe:

I juiced 4 carrots (maybe 6) and 2 oranges a piece of ginger (maybe 1 cm big). Saved the pulp. Added to the pulp:

1 tablespoon honey (or when not sweet enough a little more).
1 tablespoon olive oil (or coconut oil as CAdreamer suggested)
1/2 teaspoon cinnamon
1 tablespoon sunflower seeds
1/2 tablespoon sesame seeds
(and someone else on this board added raisins)

Mix.

Or:

Pineapple, carrot, apple and ginger pulp mixed with walnuts (grind), raisins and a little oil.

It was the first time I used a dehydrator, so I guess it must have been 6 hours before it was dry enough to resembled crackers.

Let me know if it worked out.

I also have a cassava bread (staple food of native Indians in Surinam and elsewhere) recipe. I you girls/guys are interested, please let me now

Happy (un)cooking. :)
