I need your help. Can someone throw out some ideas for videos, or websites with links of exercises for people who are significantly overweight (e.g. needing to lose 200 pounds or more). I have a friend who was working on the treadmill but gave it up and is really down; she will not walk outside because of feeling ashamed. I think if I could find a good exercise video that she could do at home or a website that has exercises-she'd probably go for it since she'd be at home. All I have are things like Tae-Bo, kick boxing, etc.

Thanks for your help everyone....

Walk away the pounds is one that many people can use...by Leslie Sansone....a place to start. She has a one, two and three mile walk video. Wishing her everything she needs.

I used walk away the pounds before moving to WA. Unfortunately I lost mine in the move, because I really wish I had it now. It is easy to do with 3 feet of soace in front of the TV to move left and right, so you really don't need much space. At first, the one mile workout was enough for me, but I worked my way up to the 3 mile before I lost the DVD.

Also, any yoga for beginners is good. It can help get the body remembering how to move. Yoga is amazing.:D

Yep... I have yoga for beginners DVD

I'm almost not overweight (I'm around 30 pounds over my desired weight, I've lost 5 already and tomorrow I have a meeting with my scale :D So I'll see how much I've lost within this week)

Yoga is hard though! I'm not flexible. It's also cool.

www.t-tapp.com

This is AWESOME for severely overweight folks, as well as all weight levels. Lots of try before you buy on the web site...

I third the T-Tapp. I love the try before you buy option and it really makes you sweat.

Check out this site:

www.videofitness.com

It's a terrific site that is all about exercise/yoga workouts on video. Tons of great info, very honest reviews by people on the site (regular people, not fitness instructors or other people in the fitness industry). I have gotten some really terrific videos because of this site.
