Why isn't there a "new thread" button?

I have been part of this site for many months. I used to post questions on another web site, but have not found a way to post a new question on this site. There are always new questions sprouting up so I know it cannot be all that hard, but I cannot find a post new thread button anywhere except for this thread! I do believe that a "New thread" button similar to that one on this page would be helpful to almost anybody.

There is a "new thread" button in every forum of this site, with the exception of a few that aren't meant to be posted into by anyone except Admin or Moderators.

But any area where you see new threads popping up...there are new thread buttons in the same location as the one you clicked on to start this thread...right above the box that contains the threads.

Perhaps it's something with your computer...not sure, but the buttons are there!

I see it now, it is just above where the posts are listed. I was looking in the wrong places as I was looking above the individual postings. I guess the reason I never saw it before was that I don't look in that area because I had already read thru the items. I usually start with the newer listings.
