Hi everyone!

First I want to share with you a pic of me when I was about 18 years old. Back then I weighed about 126 pounds...

but then abuse and stress took their tolls, and at 36, I weighed in the neighborhood of 325 pounds. This is me on my wedding day to my wonderful, amazing hubster...

over the course of the next 5 years, I lost down to 267.5, which was about this time last year at my hubster's graduation from UNT - shortly before I began my raw journey...I was 41 years old in this photo...

I keep having this nagging feeling in the back of my head that I should write something along the lines of frugal weight release/inspiration/overcoming type of thing...so many people keep saying that about me. That I'm an inspiration...now if I could just put my fingers to verbalization and write the darned thing.

I have never had a real goal for weight release, I just go with the flow.
Perhaps I should find out what I weigh and set myself a goal weight.

Thanks again for all of your kind words. As for my goal weight, it's really more of a size than a pound number, but I do have a range in mind. I was happiest with my body at a size 7/8. That's what I want to get down to. The healthy range for my height tops out at 150, which for me is still too much. I don't know if I want to get down to 126 again, because that was all flab, and I will have defined musculature this go-'round. So, for now, I am setting my sites on 140 to see what that looks and feels like muscularly. I won't go below 126 - so that gives me about 14 pounds of wiggle room to get settled into:D.

I just started Raw three weeks ago and I think I gained a couple of pounds instead. I just realized that eating all the delicious nut recipes as I have may be the problem. Did you or anyone you know have this issue?

nownatalie - I had it when I was eating a lot of dehydrated foods. As for nuts, I usually stick to sunflower seeds for the most part. But, I don't eat a Lot of nuts/seeds as a rule. I prefer to get my fats from olives and avos:D.

Nope, ET isn't - Cootie Brown's is about the only place I trust out here. They have a wonderful bibb salad and will bring me loads of lemon wedges and olive oil for my dressing! They also do a nice pico de gallo which I sometimes have them bring too. I thought you had a vegetarian place up there that offers a small amount of raw? I know there's a a place or two in Asheville NC as well...
