View Full Version : Is this hunger-so soon?

Today is day 14. I reached my goal weight this morning. Last night I made a salad for the family and it looked SOOOO good. Then as I tried to fall asleep I noticed that I was feeling kinda hungry. it's only been 14 days. My last fast, I was able to go 30 days before I felt hungry. Could it be because I weigh less now? Mentally I'm not ready to go back to food. So I feel torn between my physical needs and my mental needs.

If you are mentally not ready to go back to food, then you're not ready to go back to food! Both your mental and physical components of your self have to be ready, otherwise you will not have a good eating experience.
Try to NOT prepare food during this time. It can just be too tempting.
Above all, follow your heart.

I've experienced the same thing - but my fast is no where near being completed.... It wasn't TRUE HUNGER like pain - gotta eat or omg my body will eat itself... it was more a gentle growling nudge - gosh I'm hungry kinda feeling....
I just drank some water -- and a little more of the MC drink... or like veganforlife suggested -- if you're drinking juices... have another GS....
you'll know when you are ready to break the fast -- "all components will line up" as RawStrength said....
Congratulations on reaching your goal weight though -- that's awesome!!

I've decided to end the fast. Last time this happened when I tried to break my fast I ended up eating peanut butter, popcorn, and a hot dog. I don't ever want to repeat that again. dd's tuna sandwich was calling me at noon time. I'd rather end early then end in such a horrible way. So I drank some juice with pulp in it at noon time and since I have a sore throat I think I will have some strawberry ice cream (just frozen berries thru the juicer) at dinner time. Thank you everyone!
