My name is Debra. I am a sahm to 6. We are a homeschooling family.. I am not new to raw..but I have learned somethings over the years that are helping me to stay on track this time. The biggest thing is the green smoothie. I drink 6-7 qts a day. These smoothies has helped to decrease cravings.
I was doing Eat to Live but about 85-90% raw- with the smoothies. But found that the weight loss slowed down with the more cooked I ate. And I didn't feel as good as I would have liked. So as of yesterday I went 100%. I will be completely honest- we do have 1 feast meal per month. whatever we all decide on. It keeps us all focused. This may be eliminated in the future but for now it is working for us. I get right back on track the next day..
I last 17 lbs last month. I hit 17 lbs 2.5 weeks into Eat to Live and then it slowed down.
I watched Alissa's dvds again over the last couple of days. So I am ready. I have 135 lbs to lose.
My family are not 100% raw. More like 50%.. I hope that changes in the future but I am following hubby's lead on that one. As long as he is eating cooked food the children will follow. but they are eating a lowfat vegan diet. lots of beans, corn tortillas, hummus. etc..
Well, I am learning a lot just bebopping around the forum.. looking forward to getting to know you all..
