i've been reading up about juice feasting and i see that it's recommended to do enemas daily. ok great, but i've never done one before. i found information on how to do one and such but i havent really found any information of what fluid you use for one. is it just water? i read something about soap, also salt water. so i'm confused. help!

I don't know and I personally don't care. The last one I had and ever will have (if I have any say about it) was before I delivered my second child.
She just turned 34. :p
I don't do fasts either. I like to eat. I LOVE what I'm eating now, well, not right now at this moment, but I mean now as in daily. I don't want to deprive myself anymore. I eat more and a variety of more then I have in my 28 plus years of being Vegetarian. I let my foods clean me out...
But...that is just me...

just water. warm water.
do not use soap or salt water.
people talk about coffee enemas, wheat grass implants... i don't know about all that. you might want to experiment at some point but really, just water.
its not something that's good for you when used regularly OFF of the juice feast but is important for a little while on the feast to make sure you are eliminating toxins so they don't re-enter your bloodstream.

Organic coffee (lightest roast you can get but any is fine) is amazing but look out - the way they make you feel is fabulous and you might get "addicted" to that detoxed feeling. I know I am and need to ration them :-) And I feel like it's obviously better to be natural, but I happen to know people that have done them almost every day for 30+ years...

Go to curezone.com (http://www.curezone.com/cleanse/enema/)...they have a lot of information on them, various ways to do them, etc.
Some are for them, some are against them...I know they surely helped ME when I first started out, with detox headaches and the like! Use your own judgment and discretion!

awesome, thanks guys!
I was JUST reading in Ann Wigmore's The Wheatgrass book about a 3-day wheat grass fast. She wrote that when people follow the way she recommends doing the fast, they NEVER go through really unpleasant and extreme detox.
And she says each morning to do an enema with plain ole water.
I'm curious about how to do it. I'm thinking I'll take a few days off from work and life in May to do the wheat grass fast. Just to really get cleaned out and destress.
There is lots of info on cure zone -- but with all of the spelling errors and typos, I think it is a really good starting ground but maybe not necessarily THE source to put all my trust in! But boy did I just learn some interesting info!
And apparently people use enemas for some naughty playtime???

for me... that particular "hole" is an exit, not an entrance... so... that said, i do not do enemas.
i prefer to simply take my renew life "cleanse smart" - 2 in the morning - 2 at night and voila... i get cleaned out just fine whenever i'm fasting. http://i182.photobucket.com/albums/x87/recyclinggoddess/bathroomsmiley.gif
