View Full Version : Low temp baking?
I don't have a dehydrator and i've read some recipes that suggest setting the oven to the lowest temperature and to keep the door slightly open. Does anyone have any opinions on this? :confused:

I agree about searching for all the various thoughts on this. My thoughts? You're setting yourself up for unsafe food conditions. A dehydrator has a fan to continuously keep the air flowing and the temps at a consistent temperature. A regular oven I feel will "cook" the food, even with the oven door open plus could set up for uneven cooking and even causing mold to set in. I personally would not do it...
