My dog like WEIRD things...

Okay so she was begging for watermelon skins when I'd fiished eating it and she just crunched and chewed it all up and was begging for more when she'd finished! Are watermelon skins okay for dogs? What fruits or other foods are not okay?

ok several yrs ago i had a garden filled with watermelons ands cantalopes and all kinds of veggies. it was fenced in so the dogs couldn;t get it. well some of the watermelon and cantalope vines grew outside of the fence and i had 3 watermelons growing. well we went out for the night and came back to our dogs bellies looking full. hmm what did they eat. you guessed it the watermelon. but they didn;t eat just one not even two but all three rinds and all. we had 3 labs! nothing ever happened. in fact whenever we ate watermelon or went into the garden they would start druling. lol i know this doesn;t help but i thought it was a funnny story.

Huh, who knew?

When I'm making smoothies or salads (or anything for that matter) my dog stands next to me waiting for food to fall to the floor...and when kale, or spinach, or carrots do eventually fall...she grabs them and runs to the other room to snack....good thing those are ok, but I will have to start being more careful with other things.
