Hi,

I'm just embarking on my raw journey - day 2. Actually, that's not strictly true. I've gone raw on about three occasions before but haven't stuck to it for a couple of reasons. This time I realise that sharing my experience and that of other raw fooders, I can get past the sticking points and find an answer to those things that tripped me up before.:(

I wonder if anyone can give me any suggestions for salad dressings on the go. I lead quite a busy life and leave home very early to go to work (I have a long commute) so I really don't have time for food preparations in the morning. What I do is pop into the supermarket on my way to work and pick up pre-packaged salads or veg stir fry mix, or maybe a head of broccoli, all of which I love but I do find them dry and so tend to eat them with huge dollops of bought humus. I don't think that humus is raw so I wonder if anyone can suggest what else I might have with my salad to give it some moisture and added flavour?

Thanks very much. Appreciate your help.

My favorite quick and yummmmmmy dressing is: 1 tablespoon raw almond butter, 1 tablespoon flaxseed oil and a couple shots of Braggs. (I know some people don't use this. Unpasturized soy sauce will work or just some good quality sea salt.) My husband doesn't care for this; he says it tastes like peanut butter on his salad. But personally, I can eat a huge salad if this is the dressing. I love it. Hope you like it.

Welcome!

A simple raw diet can be very easy for a busy lifestyle. I am in the kitchen much less now.

I love my salad with nuts and raisens. I keep a ziploc of them in my purse. I think it adds a lot of flavor and texture to a salad.

May the power of raw be with you. ;)
