I shared that I may have pulled some ligaments and tendons behind my knee recently and sitting on my heels is not fun in yoga so I don't do that pose. Not sure what is going on at the moment: My knee may be sprained so not sure really if it is a sprained knee that didn't show signs of challenge, but first was ligaments/tendors and/or ankle and lastly now some ache in knee which I call sprain. I can walk.

I rubbed some Sombra (a cream) on it in addition to a natural cream by Peaceful Mountain (Rescue). I am wondering about chiropractor adjusting. Maybe my ankle on same side triggered all this as it was feeling tender. Just maybe the whole darn right side is needing an adjustment. Hips feel great. I’m headed to spa and maybe I can work some kinks out. I see there are some yoga poses I can look into also later on that was in May 2008 Yoga Journal issue (at least I believe it was that one).

Any further suggestions besides resting it? Tomorrow is my yoga class?

What about deep tissue but surely won't replace the chiro doing his adjustment either? I can't do chiro and deep tissue? Maybe I need accupuncture at one of those community facilities where prices are "super" reasonable?

Thanks.

I thought Yoga aided in preventing such things happening. I intended to start a 5k run/walk on 3-15-08. I didn't stretch but I walked around, keep moving, I thought I was ready to go. When the gun went off.......I came up lame, I could barley move to the side.

My Knee went out on me, it had Never happened before, so I spent the race in the emergency tent. They put an ice pack on it and told me to alternate between heat and ice when I came home. I have not done that. I went to Webhealth, described my symptoms and it said, go to a Dr. immediately. I didn't do that.

I just started having a talk with MY Knee. I began to put a little pressure on it when I came home. The next day I put more. I am taking it week by week. One day I stretched it and it hurt worse......so I waited until the next week to do stretching and it was better.

I discovered it was not the Knee itself but the tendons etc. So now I have learned to Stretch before exercise. I am using that leg to Step on First. I oil it with Olive Oil. I am glad I have not had an event to attend because I am not yet wearing heels.

I would never go to a Chiorpractor, I know some love it, but for me, I will leave it for the other guy. I don't like Massages, I just don't like to have someone beating up on me. I can't stand the pain. When I am forced to go to a spa, I stay in the shower. As I said, I am usually forced to go because someone is having a Birthday Celebration there.

This is Week 4 and I am Fine. I stretch both legs before exercise and it began to tighten up during exercise, I stop, do a couple of stretches and resume. I am just waiting on TIME to be 100%...........

Just listen to it, if there is too much pain Stop. I have Learned to STRETCH.

You will be your old self soon. I think when you have lead and active life, you heal faster. Feel better soon..................

How about soaking in a dead sea salts bath? Hot water bottle?

....I would never go to a Chiorpractor,

Understandable. I worked for various ones for about 8 years. Most are useless imo.

I don't like Massages, I just don't like to have someone beating up on me. I can't stand the pain.

Interesting. I've never had one do that although most really aren't trained well. I do find "beating up on me" an interesting way of putting it when usually they use lots of long strokes and sometimes a bit of elbow work... never been "beat up"... What I call "stick fingers" poking into me is usually unacceptable...

Guess you're not found someone really good, eh?

Thanks all. Spicy, didn't get injured from yoga but thinking my bunny hops plus running around the gym plus using stairmaster way to hard and crazy advice from my trainer who I will see this week. He has helped me look greater than before, but still, this was probably too much for my tendon to take.

I'm thinking it is a sprained ankle. I'm a big fan of chiro as they helped with a fall down the stairs years back which would have needed surgery but went to him for about 3 months totally healed. I also had a frozen shoulder, didn't get relief from my own treatments, but went back to my chiro who is not in Montana and year later with Reiki to the max of digging I am back in business. So, you can see I'm hooked on them. I do have one who is local who couldn't help with the frozen shoulder but did with one treatment with TMJ.

So, he may be the one I visit tomorrow. I'm going to do a rub down later with Sombra again.

Thanks everyone for your wisdom and sharing.

I didn't think of dead sea salts, have it around here, but where can it be found now that I need it. Never used it before. I assume throw in handful or two into hot water??????????

Thanks again.

Love you call.

Dead sea salts: yeah, use about 1/2 to a cup of it in warm, not hot water. Soak for at least 30 minutes...might want to drop a couple drops of Bulgarian lavendar oil and grapefruit oil in there too...
