I'm going on a walking holiday for a week, so I need some high cal snacks that I can take with me and eat when I am halfway up a mountain!
Currently in my dehydrator I am attempting for the first time:
Green smoothie leather
Nori tomato and cucumber crisps
(I will take these when I am walking)
also trying out
Brocolli bits and 'Bombay mix' salad toppings to have in the evening
(These are from Raw Living by Kate wood)
What else would you take with you? The people I am going with will be taking sandwiches, crisps, fruit, chocolate and tracker bars!
I was thinking for my equivalents:
sandwiches --> nori rolls, collard wraps or lettuce wraps
crisps --> flax crackers, nori crisps,
fruit ---> fruit! or green smoothie leathers
chocolate ---> raw chocolate
tracker bars ---> might dig out a granola recipe and make tracker bars or just dried fruit and nuts / seeds
(and of course water)
What else would you take or have I got all the bases covered? We are staying in a house rather than camping so will at least be able to blend things.
I just don't want to be stuck 3 hours from civilisation and hungry!
