Kitties & Avacodos

Okay..this might seem like a silly question. :p

However....I was sittin' on my back porch enjoying the gorgeous sunshine :D eating an avacado...I set it down and when I turned around my cat was eating it.

Now I know they are poisonous to birds...and I think possibly dogs (??)...but what about kitties?! :eek:

I just had to ask...she seemed to love it..and she is still lookin' cute and happy as normal....and alive I might add...LOL.

I did not know they were poisionous to anyone. I know Dogs do eat them, rats and Squriels eat them.
I just found a Tree that hangs over in a parking lot where I frequent. Can't tell you where it is......WON'T tell you where it is. Tell Little Kitty.....Hello.

My cat hasn't tried avocado yet, but all my dogs have loved them and suffered no effects. When we lived in Kenya, we had a tree in our backyard (sheesh, I wasn't raw then) and the dogs would eat them as they fell to the ground. They would even eat the pit, which wasn't a problem for them but.....

it was a big problem for my 9 month old who found a small piece and ate it. It made her vomit continuously for about 45 minutes and then there was mucus in her diaper. We spent the night in the hospital for observation.
