I've never made it, but I'd put it in the fridge. I don't know about freezing.

I've kept it in the fridge for 3 or 4 days. There's none left beyond that. I'm sure you could freeze it but I've never tried.

I made a double batch of onion bread and shaped some of the batch into personal size pizza crusts and couldn't eat it all -- I ended up freezing it... then forgot about it! In a frantic starving frenzie I was digging thru the fridge, freezer, to find ANYTHING TO EAT.... (I was actually looking for frozen bananas so I could make ice cream or something!) I seriously had forgotten I had frozen them and there they were... OMG!!! LIKE FINDING A TREASURE -- BETTER THAN GOLD!!! They had been frozen for 3 months ... and tasted just as delicious as when I first made them!!!

Now -- I ALWAYS make a double batch... it's a wonderful staple to have on hand -- especially when you haven't had the time to prepare! Plus they travel so well... great to grab them and go ... add some grape tomatoes, avo, sprouts, and feast away!!

When you freeze onion bread (or something similar) do you just put it in the dehydrator to defrost it? If so, for how long normally?

When I go to erewhon market in Los Angeles ( one of the best raw food suppliers) they always have there flax, etc, onion bread, out on the counters, in paper bags for sale... So either or in fridge or not, will last Im sure.

Davylp25: I was wondering, the stuff in the baggies, how long has it been on counter? Maybe in the market it lasts there only a day or two before it's purchased??

I would think, because onion bread, because (I don't think) it is totally dry, but still has SOME moisture in it, it will mold. Remember our fresh living foods don't have preservatives. I would definitely refrigerate what you think you will eat in a week, and freeze what's left to use in batches. Just my opinion.

I freeze things all the time. The onion bread is excellent to freeze! To defrost? Just let it sit for a few minutes...
