Flax Seeds, how long is too long

Would someone be able to tell me how long is too long to allow flax seeds to soak? Thanks in advance.

Gosh, I don't know... The longest I've gone without using pre-soaked flax is three days, and that only happened a few times where I either forgot about them or wasn't able to use them sooner (for whatever reason). I just gave 'em a good whiff and inspection and didn't find any indication that they had gone bad, so I used 'em. I'll usually use the same ratio of water to flax so there's never any liquid left sitting on top. All turned out fine in those cases. Although, I don't know that I go longer than three days. Maybe someone else will chime in as to how long... :confused:
