Cacao beans...whole...now what?

I bought the beans b/c it says "eat em right out of the bag"...and yeah, then puke...cause they are blech!! Lol...help! What can I do with them? Luckily I split them with a co-worker but still, $7 for 1/2 a pound and they're not tasty at all.

toss them in agave, pop them in the freezer, then eat. We love them that way here.

They're good in trail mix -- put some dried fruit, cashews or some other nut and the cacao. The mix of having them WITH the dried fruit is really nice. Good for hiking or just to have in your car in a bind. :)
