Hey everybody,

Well, it's been just about one month for me eating high raw, and I've got some fabulous results to report. I've lost weight (4 lbs in the last two weeks) with ABSOLUTELY NO FEELINGS OF DEPRIVATION, and I've even got a little bit of a raw glow going. And, to top it all off, in the last two days I've been hit on multiple times just as I was shopping, walking to work, and on my way to meet my boyfriend. (He's going to start getting jealous if this keeps up!)

In short---raw rocks.

The only thing that seems to be less than spectacular is that I suffer from Ulcerative Colitis, and I turned to raw as a way to heal. I expected that things would be better by now, but they're really not. I don't have an extremely severe case, so I can go about my life, but I have bloating, bleeding, and pain. It's not fun, and I know it's a sign that my health isn't where it should be. I'm planning to do a salt water flush in the next few days, and I'm using bentonite clay (which does seem to help) for detoxification. Does anyone else have colitis? What's worked for you?

I'm still encouraged. If my *outside* is transforming this beautifully, my insides must be transforming too.

Namaste,

Kali

Kali,
Congrat!

May go to livingnutrition.com forum and see what people are saying about the U. Colitis. I think David Klein's book addresses that and someone posted about how great it is. My daughter has Crohn's and Irritable Bowel Disease, not raw, using NAET and acupuncture for healing plus ion cleanse foot bathes. She's in TX and found a holistic doctor who wants to run some stool and other tests on her to see how her levels have improved since doing NAET for several months now. She flies into CO. www.red-white.com

Just getting the diagnosis was her big challenge. They had her on antiobiotics for about 3 weeks. She is a "slow" changer/learner and grew up seeing a holistic lifestyle she never "saw."

Finding a great practioner seems to be challenge as many go to this one here from out of state and wait is about 3 months. They can schedule multiple visits while here too in advance. Feel well.

Doing probiotics? Power is easier to absorb.

First of all, just let me say WOW, your doing great......2nd....your colitis didn't happen over night so give it a good 6 months. I'm sure you'll see results....your seeing results on the outside and I'm sure if you could see things on the inside you'd be seeing results too, even if you can't feel them yet. Good Luck.

Kali!

Don't do the salt water flush! I don't really know how bentonite clay affects any type of ulcer, but that's good that's helping.

I would highly recommend the book "Self Healing Colitis and Crohn's" which can be found here http://www.amazon.com/Healing-Colitis-Crohns-David-Klein/dp/0971752613/ref=sr_1_5?ie=UTF8&s=books&qid=1207233979&sr=1-5 or straight at his website www.livingnutrition.com.

I have a history of ulcers, read the book on someone else's recommendation when I was desperate and in a lot of pain. There are certain foods to avoid and to seek out when in the healing stage. He goes into a lot of detail in the book.

I DID have great affects of feeling better right away when I went raw. I strayed over New Year's this past year, however, and opened the ulcer(s) back up. It was only then that I just could not seem to get better, got the book.

I have NO problems whatsoever now.

By the way, he does recommend an all raw vegan lifestyle for the permanent healing of the symptoms. It's just there are some specifics for the first healing stages. :)

I hope this is helpful. I can't recommend this book enough since I found it to be so helpful to me!
