Hello!
I'm Kelly, I'm 28 years old and I live in Northeast FL. Currently I'm a vegetarian (again as of 2/27/08 - I was a vegetarian from 1996-2002, and a vegan from 2000-2002). I've been researching the raw food lifestyle lately, and eating at a raw food cafe locally. The food is AMAZING! The more I'm reading about raw foods, the more I am drawn to it, and repulsed by cooked foods.
Before I jump into it, I want to educate myself some more. I hope to start making the transition within the next few months, and be raw by the end of the year.
That's all for now! Looking forward to hanging out here :)

The Almond Blossom Cafe, in Flagler Beach, is about 15 minutes from me, and is EXCELLENT. I had their sushi yesterday, and wished I ordered 2 orders of it. :D Also had their red velvet "cake", which was heavenly. Whenever I go there, I intend on buying one thing, and end up buying 2-4 different dishes to take home with me.
Also, in St Augustine is the Present Moment Cafe (http://www.thepresentmomentcafe.com), which I have NOT been to yet, but they have over 20 very positive reviews at happycow.net.

Thanks for the Raw cafe names ! I am excited as one of my dearest friends live in that area ( not raw obviously or she's have told me about) . I try and get up there once a year and I will definitely check out!!! Sounds yummy!! Both of them and I love St. Augustine.

As far as I'm concerned the best way to educate yourself would be to get Alissa's DVD and book.....go through both of them and see what you think. They reallly tell you everything and more....you'll really know what your jumping into when you finished.
