Last year I'd planted a pack of mixed flower seeds, and I had a couple of "volunteer" borage plants spring up this year. So, on various sites it says that both leaves and flowers are edible.
However on the wiki entry( if correct) it says something about the leaves having a very small-minute maybe- substance that isn't so great for the liver-but then I guess in Germany they'be been eating the plant traditionally.
Does anyone eat borage leaves? I was thinking of adding some to my smoothies. I do notice that they have somewhat sharp little spines on them and wondering how this works out for raw eating?:confused:
