yeah i take them all the time. its extremely cheap to buy from natural food stores but i think their variety that most places sell is very processed, which is probably why it's so cheap. so i would stere clear of those brands. the kinds from the good raw online stores seem to work much better, and i don't think they're very expensive at all.
i use it for helping my nails and hair grow. also it helps my skin shin. my dad had a crack in his foot about an inch deep that he had for years... it was just from dried skin and calluses breaking... but anyway he got to the point where he was tryin steroids from the doctor and all kinds of meds to heal it. and nothing helped. i gave him some coconut oil and a bottle of msm and it healed completely in less than two weeks. he was amazed.
my mom says that she takes it before bed and it helps her not have to go the the bathroom in the middle of the night.
i find that if i take it in the morning and at night my bowels are a lot more regular and i feel more refreshed in the morning.
i gradually increased my amounts.... i used to just put a tablespoon in my lemon water and drink it during the day. now i take 3 - 5 capsules in the morning and 3 - 5 before bed. i don't do it everynight.... but i might do it for a few weeks and then take a few weeks off of it.
i also take an extra dosage if i weight lifted or have a feeling that i am gonna have sore muscles the next day. apparently it's really good for connective tissue and joints. it helps if you want to improve you're flexability.

i was curious about this as well. do most people take the powder or capsules and what's the difference?

i used to take the powder when i used it in juices and water... because for some reason when i opened the capsules and put the flakes in my water they were different than the powder form and didn't dissolve properly. i found there's really no difference health wise, just preference. now i just throw the capsules in my smoothie if i want them with food. i find that it's easier with the capsules since almost all my other suppliments are in powder form. this switches things up for me.

I take the Natural Zing brand of pure, organic MSM powder (no additives), but I buy it from Alex the Raw Guru (because he offers free shipping...:D ). I take it so that I don't ache all over after a very intense daily work out. It works!!!
