Hi guys!!

I'm not know at all in this forum as I just posted a couple of times.
Me and my Ana have been vegan for almost one year after just one week of being vegetarian.

Since the very first moment, I was amazed of raw but a bit scared at the same time. We finally decided to go Raw!!! We archived how amazing is this lifestyle and we want to glow too!!!

We already have a good food processor (bough it last week) and we are getting soon a dehydrator. We are also getting within the next days a book with plenty of Smoothies!!!

Our last non raw lunch was Veggie Stir fry and tofu (two blocks  wanted to say a good byebye and we did not want to throw away the tofu)
We donated around three bags of canned food, some "fakes" and some pasta and we are now ready to rock!!!

We have an outstanding support from a Raw Chef from Chicago, so he will be like our "Raw-stepfather" We already had some amazing raw dishes (such raw tamales, and more)
We are used to eat veggies, as during our Vegan phase we used to eat a lot more veggies than fakes.

We also do some raw almond cookies which are awesome and will help to fight the sugar cravings (holy dates!!!)

We have plenty of advice, but more is always welcome!!!

We are going to have plenty of green smoothies, and solid greens. We are also going to have an avocado a day (proteins) and several nuts. We are going to include them on our smoothies and to our salads. We have several raw recipes so there won't lack the other sources. We are also going to include Goji Berries on our smoothies for the 11 essential amino acids and other omegas.

We are going also to drink several water (we only drink Penta water, but now we are going to drink both Penta water and reverse-osmosis water due the extremely high price of Penta (We can afford three boxes of 12 bottles a month... but being raw we'll need around 6 bottles a day, that makes close to 100 a month... so multiply that by $3 -price of each bottle )

We are concerned that being raw makes laking the B vitamins and I think vitamin D. Where can we get source of these? Actually, we eat those Vegan Gums with an insane amount of B-12, are yummy and great, no crap on them.

Thanks a lot and I hope I did not bothered too much!!!

The great thing about Penta is that you can drink less of it than regular water...it hydrates you more by having smaller H2O molecules than average water not treated with sound...it can get through the cell wall with ease...and by eating raw you'll be getting plenty of fluids via your fruits and veggies. So that water is going to last longer than you think...with Penta you only need 3 bottles a day if you're an average person. A raw person may need less as they become more raw and hydrate to the max through good eating. :) YOu may find you need only 1 or 2 after a month.

Vitamin D is free by spending 15 minutes in the outdoors daily to get some sun...even on a cloudy day your body will make all it needs with daylight.

btw...nothing is ever a bother on this board!

Sounds like you'll be eating soooo well! YUM! Have fun!

You can't change the size of any molecule, they stay the same size no matter what is done to them :) xxx

What an exciting adventure for your family. I have two boys 3 and 6. My kids drink leaf shakes too. I just have not got them to give up the tofu yet. But I am working on it. Now that I am raw they watch me and help me mix and dehydrate food so it sparks interest in their appetites. It has been a slow process but well worth the effort.

Have your boys tried seaweed? There is supposed to be a significant amount of B12 in seaweed. I make raw sushi that the kids love and I make flax crackers with veggies and seaweed.

Where is does your raw food chef work? I will be visiting Chicago in August and would love to try some raw foods there. I have got to get some of those vegan gums!

It was great reading your post!

Thanks for the support guys!!

Did not realize that about Penta! Well... that would make around 4-5 boxes a month... which I can afford... better than 12 boxes lol... too healthy but too expensive (well... it's worth the price but damages the budget!!!)

Maui Girl:
The Chef own's Cousin's IV. You can send me a PM when are you coming and we all can go there to eat :D It's awesome!!!
We are just a couple, no kids... well two cats... but they are obligated carnivores and raw meat... not cool.

I'm getting soon my dehydrator :) Also, we are starting to learn Yoga.

H2O molecules cluster together and can be unclustered...should have used that term.:)

Chicagoan, I'm so excited for you! It's great to have that connection to a real raw chef. You won't have any problems satisfying any cooked food cravings. I wish you the best on your journey. Before you know it, you'll feel and look like a glowing ball of energy!!
