I made some raw cacao almond milk yesterday morning and put it in the fridge for savoring later. Yesterday while we were watching a movie, my standard american eating DB opened the fridge and asked me what it was. I thought I would hear the typical comment, like "hmmm" or "oh" followed by the door slamming. lol. But he asked me if he could have some. I was shocked because he won't usually touch my food. I just sat calmy as he came to sit next to me on the sofa with his big glass of almond milk. He loved it and drank pretty much all of it. Asked me if I could make some more. Wow, I'm just really happy right now. It doesn't take much anymore. If I had offered him that almond milk, he would've turned it down and made a face or some joke. And the old me would've taken offense and we would've been arguing perhaps. I'm learning daily, it is so worthwhile to just live let and let live. Eventually your loved ones will start to understand this lifestyle, whether or not they try it for themselves. I don't expect him to become a raw foodist, but it makes me feel good that he somewhat understands where I'm at now. Who knows maybe it will be green smoothies next. haha.
