I'm not sure how to phrase this well but I'll do the best I can. If you're putting a link in say a signature or anywhere else, how do you made links read for example, "My blog" instead of http://www.rawfoodtalk.com/blogs/blog-15602? Just like to know. Thank you!

Francesca

Here is an example of how you would position the code, etc.: (NO SPACES...I only did that so it would show up rather than creating the link)

[ url="http: // theurlofyourdestinationpage. com" ]Your blog [ /url ]

So basically whatever the text you want will go between the opening tag (where the URL is) and the closing tag - the "/url"

Okay, I'll try this and see if I do it right  It should be pretty easy. Thank you.

yeah, it's just not working for me. I'm not sure what I did wrong. The outcome is in my signature.

Oh wait, do you have to type that whole thing out, with the brackets, quotations, and everything?

Just copy and paste what I wrote, remove any spaces and enter the URL that you want. In the middle, enter your text.

Thank you. Sorry to be such a pest. I know this is not really related to the forum itself. Now how do you made a link a different color?

I had to go test it out. But the way to get the link to be a different color is, the code for the color has to be right before the text you are changing.

For example, in my sig, it looks something like this:

text in siggy [/ color][/ url]

Before, I tried it with the color code being first and then the url code...didn't work that way.

Bless you Cherie! I'm so uninformed when it comes to this stuff. I'm probably the only 20-year-old I know that doens't know how to do all of this. I'm so embarassed. I'd heard of it before but I had to ask my boyfriend how to cut and paste!

Oy-it's not working but maby it's because I have a font as well. But don't worry about it. It's not important.

Okay, got it figured out. I just highlighted the sig text and selected the color I wanted. Thanks for all your help. I won't bother you over something silly like this again
