For the strong of stomach that don't mind looking at live body parts. The video shows difference colons from different lifestyles and eating habits. Vegetarian wins. The Dr. shown also has some diet routine but haven't figured out what it is.

Interesting video!

I found this on the net:

Dr. Hiromi Shinya leads the gastroenterologist world with new medical findings and techniques. He is a professor of surgery at Albert Einstein College of Medicine and Head of the Endoscopic Center of Beth Israel Hospital in New York as well as an adviser for Maeda Hospital and Hanzomon Gastrointestinal Clinic in Japan. He is also Vice Chairman of the Japanese Medical Association in the USA.

Dr. Hiromi Shinya designed and developed a life-saving medical tool for the endoscopic treatment of polyps. Without requiring use of surgery, his revolutionary “Shinya Method” has become widely used in colonoscopies, the standard screening for the leading, non-tobacco related cancer killer in the US, colon cancer. Dr. Shinya is world renowned in performing intestinal-related procedures, and is known to have examined more than 300,000 stomachs and large intestines, and has performed nearly 100,000 polypectomies.

Also, the diet he recommends is one based on grains, fruits, vegetables, nuts and seeds - no dairy or animal products; vegan. He generally advises drinking a quart of ionized water.

Apparently that wasn't gross ENOUGH for me. Does anyone know of any links where I can see more of that kind of thing? Seriously! I'll be googling it.

The recommended 1 gallon of water is 16 cups. This is on top of the water provided in the diet. This amount of water might be helpful for someone with colon disease, but I would tend to think that drinking that much water would flush out valuable minerals before they had a chance to digest.

I don't get it...what's ionized water?

RawSinger
03-31-2008, 03:45 PM
Raene: ionized water is water with electrolytes in it. In other words, active molecules that still have an electrical charge (i.e. postive or negative), like sodium, potassium, etc. I'm not sure of exactly how it benefits your colon.

Oh, where do you get it or do you need something to make it?

RawSinger

Raene: really not sure. There are many "healthy" fitness waters out there like Vitamin Water that contain electrolytes but I don't know about pure, flavorless ionized water.

I found this site through a link on The Sunny Raw Kitchen's website (which took me to RawGuru.com) where this link is found http://justkangen.com/

I watched the video about Kangen Water an was very amazed by the demonstrations. To think, even the state of your water determines how your health is affected. I feel like no one has been telling me the truth my entire life! What else will I learn on this Raw Journey......?

OMG!!! I just watched the colon videos! I'm saving up RIGHT NOW to purchase a Kangen Water System...I don't care how long it takes. I won't even discuss this with my husband, I'm going to do it independently! I can not believe how messed up some of those people were inside. And the unbelievable thing is....I might be even worse than they were!

Kangen Water, here I come!

Kangen water is the hottest new ionized, alkaline water coming out of Japan. I purchased a machine in April and it is absolutely amazing. I have severe alkalosis. (My body is so acidic that it switched to an alkaline state in order to survive.) I drink 128 ounces a day. 9.5 ph. Awesome detox. I began to detox in twenty minutes. I detoxed for about 6 weeks. I was a waste dump.
I am trying to go raw and I am new to this. Oh yea, it will detox my fruits and veggies too. I wash them with the 2.5 to kill bateria and the 11.5 to detox them. I love mine. It is so worth it. Go to Kangenwatergirl.info, .com and .net Dr. Shinya's movie is on one of these websites.

Wow, thanks smoothiegirl, I'll check it out. You were THAT acidic? Wow again! I've been wanting a water filter (it's also called that as well?) and am totally confused as to what to shell out my hard earned money on AND bottled plastic water is GETTING on my nerves! Any other links you have or info. please feel free to e-mail me or put them here. I appreciate it. Maybe we should start a thread on this? I'll do it.

You are supposed to drink 1 ounce per pound of body weight and if you really want to see miracles drinlk 3/4 of an ounce per pound of body weight.

How much are they?

I've been looking for that, but you have to fill in this form for a Rep to call you. Which is a little annoying, since it feels like I'm going to be "sold". The videos do the job, I just need to know the price so that I can make an informed decision without a sales pitch.

My machine cost me about 3,995 (An amount equal to 3 days stay in the hospital) I wish it wasn't so pricey.

Sometimes even with a good vegan diet you get that stuff. I've been vegan for years and still got colitis. So it's not always just diet related. Though the most strict I am the better I do. so not just vegan, but raw whole foods etc. And it didn't gross me out because I actually saw the inside of my colon yesterday. haha.

I used to have a lot of videos - think I got rid of them because my "favorites folders" were gettting too full...
