My house is really cold. I did use a grow light last year, but this year I need to figure out a better way of starting my tomatoes, cukes and such quickly indoors. I was thinking of buying fluorescent lights and hanging them. Our sunroom is getting super cold at night with no heat access.

Would love your suggestions. I do have EB but it's really cold and I don't think the seeds would take outdoors. I always ending up buying plants, but I also started last year tons from seed with Eko Potting Mix soil only.

Thanks.

Don't bother with the fluorescent lights. Plants need the proper mix of lights and that's what a grow light will provide. I don't know what EB is. You can buy warming mats to put under the seedlings so they don't freeze. Do you have a window nearby so they can get the correct light?

I tried growing seedlings in NYC in the winter. I put them near the window, on the floor and there was a heat vent nearby. I had a furnace. It did not work at all. The soil remained too damp and they got white fuzzy mold on them.
