Hello,
Has nayone done the Mater Cleanse program without drinking the salt water (and having a second cup of the laxative tea instead)? If so, how did the program go for you? Does anyone think it would work well even if you cannot tolerate the salt water drink? Any advice is appreciated. Thank you!

The first time I did the MC, I tried one day doing no salt water and only tea, and ended up throwing up quite a bit. It was pretty awful. Everyone's different though. It may or may not work for specifically you. If you chance it, it may not be a positive outcome.
Good Luck!

Thank you both! Wow - 21 days! That is so great. how many glasses of the lemonade do you drink a day? And, do you ever feel hunger or cravings, and if yes, how do you get passed them? Thanks!

the only time i get hungry is around 10-11pm at night, but its not too bad. actually it hasn't happened the past few nights, so thats good. and it didn't happen every night either just some. the juice or lemonade drink (whichever you call it) really does help if you get hungry, just a few sips and the hunger is gone. as far as cravings, i've had some, but again nothing too bad and i just remind myself why i am doing this and ALWAYS do positive affirmations. those have saved me a few times from wanting to quit. actually the scariest thing for me has been a few dreams that i have had where i strayed from the cleanse and ate, once was something non raw or vegan, but the other dreams have been about straying to raw. the reason why i say they have been scary is because how real they felt. i have never had a dream where i would swear on my life that i ate. and when i woke up in a fright i realized it was just a dream that was just really weird. but yes i'm doing great and i am glad i have made the decision to stick this through.

woops, forgot to answer how much i drink. i drink about 9-12 glasses a day. i really just depends upon the day. like i started off having around 12, but now that i don't find myself hungry anymore, its dropped down to about 9. i just make a large pitcher in the morning and what i drink i drink and if i have some leftover (usually i don't) but if i do i just make a samller batch the next day and add the leftover to it. now i know that this is not ideal, but it seems to be working for me, so i am just going sith the flow. hope this helps and if you have any more questions feel free to ask!

Aloha! The first time I did the MC - I did the SWF for a couple of days -- my body DID NOT LIKE IT AT ALL... and infact - I seemed to really swell up from the salt...
so I switched over to the laxative teas (Yogi - 'Get Regular Tea') and taking Cascara Sagrada - which can be found at the hfs. It is non habit forming and simply stimulates the peristaltic action of the colon.
all of the times that I have done the MC after that -- this is what I have used and each fast is wonderful --
good luck!!

I never do the SWF. I can't seem to get it down without gagging. Do the laxative tea instead you will still get great results. I use the smoothe move tea - I believe you can get it just about anywhere.
