Blazin'Jane: I have a fierce desire to get good at it. Today I did 15 minutes of power yoga and was like "Okay, I've had enough." It's frustrating but the masters had to start somewhere.

So true, both things! Ashtanga DOES kick your butt even if you thought you were in pretty good shape, coming from an extremely humble former practitioner(now weight-training), but maybe not "former" for long, after seeing that YouTube video. What has brought this up for me is the fact that if one isn't paying attention to flexibility(which is only ONE of the many benefits of Ashtanga)when one is 60, one will lose it completely by age 80 - not a good thing to happen! I'm 60 now, and could use loosening up. I have to be careful easing back into this, as I have had back injuries(not from yoga though).

I think yoga is right for everyone. Start with less intense forms, of course. It's a great workout on it's own (no question here!) but it's a good way to round out your workout routine (whether you lift-weights, play sports, etc). There are so many benefits, not just physical, but spiritual as well. It can offer something for every person. It has to be good, it's been around long enough! Okay, this is totally my new obsession :)

I love yoga, too, though Ashtanga is not my favorite style. I do it sometimes, but also like the milder, more peaceful forms. They keep me more "in my body where it is.", rather than feeling like I can't keep up or something. It's great stuff, though, and over time, I've noticed a big difference in my flexibility, balance and strength --inside and out.:)

Hannah: that's awesome! I love the avatar btw
Eva: I'm trying to keep a positive attitude no matter what. Even if I'm really not feeling positive. I fake it until I make it! I was a negative person for too long.
