Can freshly made juice be frozen in ice cube trays to use later in smoothies?
I'm thinking that juicing some of my garden's produce and freezing the juice will help me extend my harvest into the winter. For example, tomatoes can't be frozen, but can tomato juice be frozen? Cantaloupe freezes terribly, but what about cantaloupe juice?

This is a great idea if it can be done.... I will be watching the replies!

It's flash frozen and not exposed to the air. Maybe freezing in the ice cube trays and then put them in those baggies where you suck out the air.

Great idea! If I put my finished ice cubes in baggies, then I won't have to buy a lot of ice cube trays. I'm not sure if I will be able to find the vacum baggies, but I will probably only be keeping these ice cubes for a few months anyway, so I shouldn't need to suck the air out.
I think I'll do a test run with some grapefruit juice that I made yesterday. I'm just wondering if anyone knows how the nutritional values would be affected.

probably about the same as the frozen fruit you use in your smoothies...
