Do any of you use these? They look so beautiful, I'd love to eat my salads out of them.
Are they food safe?
Do they absorb moisture/odor/mildew?
Where/What type are yours?
Thanks!

i use bamboo bowls and utensils. . . . i love them all.... you can get them at your local target or world market.... if you don't want to buy them from a corporate type store i'm sure you search around the web.... i haven't had any prob with mildew or anything, pry because they use some sort of finish... i'm not quite sure of how good that is for me... but i like i feeling of eating out of them... so i continue to do it. my cutting boards are bamboo and they aren't finished with anything and they seem to need oiling all the time, and i don't like the dry feeling of them... same goes with my utensils that i have, i like using the finished ones way better....

let us know what you get and how you like them....

I have a love for bowls and love serving food in different ones. We have a beautiful wood bowl that we often use for salads. I think you just have to be careful and make sure that the bowls you use are safe, they usually will say on the bottom if they are food safe or not.

Yes, Bamboo is excellent. It is also sustainable and eco-friendly too!

Whole Foods sell the Bambu line of bamboo kitchen ware.

I have bought a bunch of bamboo kitchen stuff from this online store and the prices are pretty reasonable and I had great customer service!
