View Full Version : One Month Raw - Some of my benefits

It's been a full 30 days raw for me. I went into this not knowing what would happen and giving myself the opportunity to stop at any time.

First weeks:

- Brighter eyes
- No sleep in eyes
- No gas
- Sometimes had tummy pains from eating apples (core as well)
- Low and persistant headache
- Sometimes nausea
- Lathargic/weak

One month:

- Brighter eyes
- Lost about 8 lbs. I'm already thin at a 19 BMI. I do not currently exercise.
- Nail beds (cuticles) stopped flaking and peeling
- Acne dissapearing. This is the first time in over 16 years!
- Allergy to fruit (facial itching/mental irritation) - Gone!
- No sleep in eyes
- No headache
- No nausea
- No gas
- No pain from eating whole apples anymore
- Lower blood pressure
- More peaceful feeling. Both physical and mental. My mind and body feel extremely relaxed. Not over the top energized or lathargic, but just perfect. My thoughts are just 'calm.' I'm not sure how to put it. Slowly, without even noticing it, I just became more calm.
- Less hungry. Now I know that many people become more hungry, but I'm that oppisite. I rarely get hungry, and I'm eating much less!

I have lost strength and a little endurance. Likely because of the quick weight loss. I expected it and I expect my strength to return soon.

My throat was swollen for a little while and by just adding my naturally salty foods it's back to normal. I'll be staying with raw so long as I continue to think it benefits me. I love waking up to fruit or a smoothie. Cooked food just doesn't appear in my mind. I think my body can tell me what I need.

I'll be getting a large profile blood test in a week. I will then have a better idea about which type of foods to concentrate on. I'll also be adding some aerobic exercise to my schedule.

Just thought I'd share my experience. :)

Thank you so much for the support. This is such a great place! It's nice knowing there are people that are, in a small way, like-minded.
