Has anyone had any of these?
I had the cherry pie and it was SOOO good.....i called the company to find out if it was truely RAW. They told me that their product is air dried and that no dehydrating is done. They said that they buy the fruit and nuts from suppliers that dont dry anything at high temperatures.
well.... thats what they said..... so.... its anybodys guess I suppose.
I would not eat alot of them but the bar i had tasted like something i would make at home.....which i in fact am going to do.
Just wanted to let you know in case you were looking for something like that.

Yeah Lara Bars are yummy! I really like the "Cashew Cookie" and recently tried the "Gingersnap" one that reminded me of gingerbread my mom used to make!
I haven't tried cherry pie and there was one other one I didn't care for, but can't remember the name of it.

The cherry pie one is addicting! The tartness and sweetness goes so well together.
I like grabbing a cherry pie (or 2) and siting on the couch to watch Charmed. Ahhh, the world is perfect when I do that.

I just ate a banana one - just before coming to the computer - I love them as well. I had the blessing of meeting her last year at the Natural Foods Expo - and because many of the people coming by her booth, were not aware of her, and I yelled out (wasn't even planned), there's Lara, I got a case of them for a smile - that was really a highlight.

The Cherrie Pie is my favorite as well. And my Dad's too! Mom likes the apple the best. I've had the cocoa mole as well, which I like when I don't want something so sweet.

I have tried all the Lara Bar flavors and haven't met one I didn't like! The cherry pie is on the top of my list, and the gingersnap is also a favorite. The banana one tastes like banana bread and I keep one or two in my purse all the time so I am not caught without something to eat no matter where I am at.
I found them at a local grocery store (Central Market) for $1.69 a bar. They occasionally have them on sale for $1.50 each and I stock up when that happens!

I can't control myself with these things, so I can't buy them!!! They are just too good. Maybe some day I will get some self control and be able to eat just one at a time. :p

when i spoke with them they said they were comming out with more flavours in the fall. SO...thats Totally COOL ! wonder what they will be

You can buy them by the box (16 bars per box) from their website. I think I just might do that, since they are pretty spendy here in Minnesota!

I have not eaten them yet cuz I'm on the master cleanse...
I cannot wait to sink my teeth into them!!
The first think I did was look at the ingredients.
The second thing, I thought, why don;t I tey making them myself!
They cost 3 bucks a pop here!
So what I'm getting at is, has anyone tried to make them?

i buy gingersnap by the case, by far my favorite flavor. tastes just like ginger cake. i can eat them for breakfast everyday in the car. i cant believe i used to eat all the chocolate covered "health" bars to try and save calories or help me with energy on a bike ride. doesnt even make sense to eat one of those junky things now!

I too love the Larabars. Tonight I was sent on a project for work and didn't get home till after 9. On my drive home I tore open my emergency dinner. I always have one in my purse. I recently found myself at the hospital getting xrays and was there from 11am - 2pm. Tore open that Larabar and was saved. I find if I carry one in my bag at all times, i never have an excuse to stray off course.

I have tried them recently -- since they showed up at Trader Joe's at $1.49 -- and I agree that they're good in emergencies. I slipped one in my purse for a situation where eating a banana just wouldn't work.
My only complaint is that they're not organic.

I had loved lara bars util I went raw. The first one I opened after up, about two weeks raw, smelled awful to me and it tasted weird. I haven't tried again since then. I wonder if it was just because I had detoxed?

Mmm, I love Lara bars! Applie Pie is my favorite. They have Ginger Snap??! Oh man! I guess i'm going to have to order that flavor.
They are so filling. Half a bar is enough to fill you up. My (non-raw) friends love them too. They've been replacing energy bars and candy bars with them! The other day, my friend said "I'll never have to diet again as long as i keep you around!" She lost 5 pounds! Ha Ha!

TerriTerri - I'm not as crazy about them as other people are ('course, I still want chocolate if I'm going to eat a concentrated food bar! :D ). The taste is very strong to me(I've tried the 3 flavors that TJ carries - ginger snap, cherry pie, and apple), but none smelled bad.
It sounds like maybe your body was telling you that it just wasn't the right thing to be eating right then. It's great that you're so finely attuned to your body.

They make a great snack in the car for my grandson; I keep a bar in his diaper bag.
I didn't like any of them. I think they all have raisins in them and I don't do raisins.

I love them all, especially cashew. But every time I eat them (or any raw bar), I start to itch all over a few days later. I suspect that the dried fruit/nut combination is giving me candida symptoms.

Are the Lara bars and raw crunch bars snacks or meal replacement?
VeganVixen
