I've heard people mention that their green smoothies hold off their hunger for a good few hours in the morning. I'm pretty new to raw and not 100% but I try to have green smoothies every day.
My problem is that they usually don't hold off my hunger and I begin to crave junk food :(
Is there a particular recipe for GS that is better for this? Or perhaps adding maca or mesquite?

Although GS are yummy, they don't really stave off my hunger that well.
Here's a breakfast recipe that will keep you full for hours:
Warm Raw Breakfast Cereal (like oatmeal)
2/3 cups sprouted wheat berries (1/3 cup dry wheat berries, sprouted)
1/4 cup flax seed, soaked overnight
honey, agave or blended dates to taste
cinnamon to taste
warm water as necessary
Blend all ingredients until thick and smooth. Add whatever chopped/dried fruit or nuts that you like!

Thanks Rawstrength... I actually find that I'm hungry after my green smoothie... my belly likes something heavy. And fortunately enough I just started my first wheat berry sprouts for banana bread and now I'm not intimidated by them anymore lol!! I'm definitely going to try this!!!

Green smoothies hold off my hunger, but that's because I drink A LOT. I'll make 64 ounces and drink it throughout the morning (sometimes I'll only drink half, but that's still 32 ounces!). Adding something heavier, like coconut oil or hemp seed will help you feel more satiated. But really, the quantity is key. One little glass won't hold you! :D

Thanks for the feedback everyone :) and thanks for the recipe rawstrength, sounds delicious :D I'll have to try that out!
Carlsbad - I might try adding some coconut oil as I was considering that anyway, and I'm sure I could handle drinking more, I love green smoothies :D
