I have slowly been transitioning into this due to my large diet limitations. I have to take this a step at a time. I am at least 75% raw right now and maybe closer to 85-90%.

I just started the green smoothies this week. I love the one I have made so far. Again, I can't go too fast on this as I have to see what I can and can't tolerate. I have lost 4 pounds this week. I am going to the bathroom more but it is not hurting me, pain wise. I think that could be the parsley in my smoothie, I read it is a natural diruetric.

I feel soooo light headed today. I am not working today, but normally would be out installing carpet, or should I say helping. I can't function like this out on the job. Please tell me this goes away.

It will go away, just make sure you're eating enough and drinking plenty of water.

I had the same problem which caused me to stop eating raw. I was 100% raw for 2 months. I was 100% committed. While on raw I lost 12 pounds and was feeling good until the dizzy, lightheadedness would not go away. I could not figure out what I was doing wrong. I then convinced myself that I need to eat more cooked protein. Well that started the whole brutal cycle. I immediately was sucked right back into my old routine of binge eating and cravings and I gained all 12 pounds back immediately. I was sure that 100% raw was not right for me. Well four months of SAD eating and here I am 100% raw again. This time i am eating less nuts and more greens. Before I was concentrating on lots of fruits and way too many nuts and avocado. Now i drink a half gallon of greens smoothies with some fruit a day and lots of salads and greens. I feel GREAT!!! no foggy feeling and in total control of my cravings. I have lost 6 of the 12lbs in only 5 short days! I love raw and raw loves me :D

Drink a LOT of water! The increased fiber in your diet takes more water to digest! Dehydration can cause light-headedness.

Try to sleep more, too, if you can. I went through a period of about two weeks when I was transitioning to raw during which time I would get dizzy/light-headed on and off. Looking back, it was probably either detox or dehydration, or a combination of the two.

I am sure I am dehydrated then. Due to me going to the bathroom every 10-15 minutes today(this IC bladder condition), I tend to cut back my water intake when I have days like this.

Right now I am trying to find what I can eat that won't cause the frequency, so I can get this all in balence. Luckily we have not worked much this week but next week I am going to be busy and can't have days like this.

I hope it gets better for you! I'm feeling lightheaded myself today, although for most of the time I've been raw I've felt really good.

I think anytime we start making changes to our diets the body needs some time to adjust. Try to make sure you get enough dense foods so that you can maintain your normal daily functions.

Good luck!

Explain Dense foods.....

I mean foods like avocados, nuts, etc. I find that a lot of time when I feel lightheaded I'm actually hungry and need to eat a fat type of food. Avocados really help me with this.

However, that's just me and I'm not saying it is 100% that it will help. Just make sure you are eating enough and drinking enough water.
