these are readily available off the shelf.

is there anything wrong with them? pasturized, etc.?

I want to prepare a raw dessert as I posted in the thread about cashews.

Nuts seem interchangeable, so I thought these would be the way to go.
I don't buy nuts very often these days, so a little advice would be appreciated.

Would they work for say cheesecake, cinnamon rolls or a birthday cake?
I haven't made these recipes in a long while and used to just use almonds!

any other substitutes? no grains please. thanks!:p

they are available, I get mine from nutsonline.com, I'm soaking some right now
I don't use nuts that often so I can't answer any of your other questions, but brazil nut milk is supposed to be really good, and there's a recipe floating around for cheeze its that have brazil nuts in it.
