Getting rid of the steamed veggies is easy. Just eat them raw! I never much liked steamed veggies so that wasn't a problem for me. And I am not a fish lover so that wouldn't be a problem either. There are raw recipes that supposedly taste like fish. I've seen one for a mock tuna salad. I've never tried them though.

When I transitioned to 100%, I found a couple of raw dishes that I really loved and had them for dinner, over & over again. And, I ate them in huge quantities until my appetite calmed down. For instance, I'd make a HUGE kale salad, with all the workins (avocado, dried fruit, nuts, seeds). Then I'd have my favorite fruits too. And since I like Kombucha, I'll pour a tall glass on the rocks. Starting with my favorite things eased the transition for me.

juliebove - i looooved steamed veggies..so this could be a hard transition, plus..i think it would be weird to eat squash, and sweet potato'es raw..plus it will take a lot longer to eat..
trugoddess- thanks i will deffinilty start by adding huge salads..ive never had it with avacoda..this could be goood :) how do you get your protein?? my source is from fish, and 100% whole grain rice powder..maybe ill try bee pollen? i dunno.lol
does anyone have any simple dinner recipes??
salads
smoothies
juices for dinner is still awkward for me..but maybe ill try it

I'd recommend getting Alissa's book if you don't already have it. Many simple, delicious recipes in there.

Protein is found in all foods - some more scant than others. You do not need animal protein in your diet - dark green leaves will help you there especially.

when it comes to protein... don't avocados have all the essential amino acids? that's my primary "protein" source (since we don't need protein actually, but the amino acids).. also, goji berries have all of them as well!
for dinner i've been making some hummus with all kinds of vegetables and it gets me soo full! but i'm afraid i'm using the non-raw tahini (i buy the one in meijer and it just says hulled sesame seeds in Ingredients..doesn't say roasted- and yet doesn't say raw) i find it so hard to find the tahini with a RAW label on it :(
other times i make huge salads with avocados mm and experiment with dressings!
