This is my second week raw, 95% the first week I lost 7lbs, though I'm not changing my eating habits for weight loss (it's an added benefit) I would love to lose more weight. I struggle with weight loss anyways. I work out 6 days a week (3 days cardio and 3 days weights and cardio) and I can never lose weight this past week I haven't exercised as vigilantly as I should have, I think more so because it's mentally frustrating. Should I be losing more weight, or is this the norm?

really it all depends on your body ,lifestyle and Im starting to believe planet alignment plays a role as well, you just keep eating the raw stuff ,cut down on nuts and exercise (keep the cardio up!) ,so really thats all I can say!
You might ,until then, try focusing on the non-weight positive changes!

I think 7lbs in 2 weeks is awesome! You dont want it to come off any faster. ;) At first when I went raw I lost lots of weight. I am 3 months into this and I have lost 20lbs. It has slowed alot and I have noticed when I don't eat 100% I don't loose BUT if I stay 100% I will loose. I have excersised very little these last 3 months. I have only recently picked up the weights again. I think you are excersising plently. Don't forget to give yourself a day off now and then to rest and recover. ;)
Good luck and keep up the great work!
Love,
Angie

I think you're doing okay. You don't want to lose too much at once. Just eat raw and the weight will keep coming off. Concentrate on how you feel, not the numbers on the scale.

I think you are all right and I need to just focus on the positive and now that I read back I realize 7lbs in a week is alot. Thank you so much for all your advice.

You are doing great! V.V. is right - your body will do what is best for you. As for the exercise, I understand as this has happened to me. As a result, I bumoed up cardio, and I see a difference in the my body with the inches. I move pounds slowly because I am hypothroid, and yet on raw, I have lost weight which is totally different from other times. Just feel your body and go from there!

When I first started raw I lost a lot of weight very fast even though I am Hypo-thyroid. Nothing worked for weight in the past so when I went raw I was surprised and delighted with the loss. Since March 28th I have lost 43#. The past 2 weeks I have not lost any weight but continue to lose inches over 35 total. Again I am delighted with the by-product while trying to improve my long term health. The other benifit is increased energy. Although sometimes I don't think I have increased at all until I sit down and write out what I am now doing. It is as wonderful as the weight loss. Hope your are experiencing it also. Good Luck

Hi,
Please realize, that muscle weighs much more than fat, so even though you may NOT be loosing weight, you probably are gaining muscle, and dropping fat.

You bring up a very good point Rawpriestess! I have to remind myself that muscle weighs more than fat because since I increased my exercise routine in January I have gained 5 pounds.
Now my clothing fits the same, I feel the same weight-wise, and I am eating the same so the only difference is the exercise which now includes weight training and lots of cardio.
I love gaining muscle though, for the first time in my life I have a bit of definition to my shape!
