I am in Columbia, a quick 2 hours from St. Louis. We have a monthly potluck here that's going well. Let me know if you'd like to come up sometime. It's a pretty casual bunch.
I don't kow of any raw restaurants in the area. When I'm in St. Louis, I generally meet one of my daughters, who lives there, for lunch at Whole Foods.
