I did a liver cleanse a few years ago on the advice of my Chiropractor. He said that my liver was the reason that I couldn't lose weight (no matter how great my diet was).

It wasn't the Andreas Moritz/ Alissa Cohen- type of cleanse (olive oil, epsom salt). This was a powder that I put into a shake 3x a day along with supplements.

I lost 8 lbs. in the 3 weeks of the cleanse and averaged an 8 lbs. a month weightloss for several months after that.

Fastforward to the last year and a half, and I am back to not being able to lose weight! Even on 100% raw, still nothing!

SO, if any of you have had better weightloss results after doing a liver cleanse, please let me know all about it!

Thanks!!

I think your liver's ability to cleanse itself is a process, just like when you switch to raw. I too have tons of trouble losing weight due to liver problems. I am going to try the master cleanse and see how that works. I think that you need to cleanse your liver on a regular basis, especially if you have a sluggish/clogged liver. The initial clease will get things moving again, but to get it really clean and functioning properly all the time you need to do a cleanse on a regular basis. This is what I plan on doing.......I hope this helped

Ness:

Thanks for the info. But I do wonder: if I can't digest fats well because of my liver, how can a cleanse involving drinking fat (olive oil) help?

What cleanse are you going on?

thanks
