So we just returned home from a cross country trip (south carolina to las vegas and back). On our ride home we stopped at a Sams club to buy some more bananas, and whaddya know ... there was a vitamix demonstration going on. It stopped both me and my husband in our tracks, mouths wide open, just staring :eek: lol!

We enjoyed some fruit smoothies along with a cup of fresh sorbet ... and we are now the proud new owners of our Vitamix 5200. :D

We're in love!!! No kale chunks in our smoothie today! Oooh Happy Day! :p

I was pretty suprised that the jug was made out of plastic, though. I would have guessed glass. Hmmmph :cool:

Here, in the UK, Vitamix blenders cost around $1000, so it will be a while before I get one, at that unfair price, anyway.

they are made of plastic instead of glass because (they say) the jugs would break when dropped... and the plastic ones don't.

With so many talking about them... I've got total Vita-envy!! Our CX is actually having a demo next weekend, think I'll go just for the fun of it! ... dreaming of a chunk-free smoothie...
