can anyone help me real quick?
i am making a red cabbage salad for tonight and i started removing the outer leaves and these little hard white spots are on it. it doesn't look like normal moldiness... the spots are kinda calcified and raised, but it is through outthe head in one section. I'm afraid to serve it because I have no idea if it's bad.

any ideas?

I never saw that, but if in doubt, do without and return to store when there next. You may try another head for tonight. Enjoy.

i can't picture it... i would probably use the parts without the bumps as long as it smells ok and isn't rotted anywhere.

I found that on a couple of the inside leaves of mine. Picked them off and used the rest.
