I am doing the actual liver cleanse tonight. I prepped just as directions said with apple juice, etc. Two nights ago, I woke up in the middle of the night feeling very bad- fever of 102, threw up once, then diarrhea the next day. This morning I felt a lot better, no fever, just a lingering headache which went away as the day progressed.
I had a light breakfast, asparagus for lunch, and stopped eating by 2:00. I took the first round of epsom salts at 6:00, as directed, and progressively, started feeling worse and worse, getting painful shoulder and back pains, muscle cramps in my legs, then the most INTENSE chills I have EVER experienced, to the point where I was worried about breaking my teeth!! I quickly got a fever that escalated to 102.8!
WHAT THE HECK IS GOING ON???? IT WAS FREAKING ME OUT! I put on loads of clothes and buried under the covers shivering crazily with a cool compress on my forehead. I just tried to deep breath through the chills and image my liver cleansing. Eventually, after about an hour, they subsided, and now my fever is 101.6. I took the second epsom salts at 8:00- no BM's so far.
Has anyone ever experienced anything similiar? What could be happening inside my body?? I must be a toxic waste dump!!!!
Do you think I should keep going or quit? I really don't want to quite considering the 6 days of prep I dd!
Any input would be HIGHLY appreciated!!

Gosh, I feel kinda sad that nobody responded to me, though 23 people viewed this. Hmmm...?????
Maybe no one had any experience with it. I will assume the best and not feel sorry for myself.
Anyway, I did the rest of the liver cleanse and the chills and fever totally subsided by 10:30.
This morning so far I have gotten hundreds of gallstones out! It is truly amazing what the body does. I am AWED by it. I plan on doing a LC every 3 weeks until NO stones come out. Most were really small, but a few were pretty big.
This thread that has been only me has convicted me even more to always respond to people in need. it is a bummer when nobody says anything, not even, "hey, I have no experience with what you are dealing with, but I hope you feel better!!"

I'm sorry you didn't get a response. It's probably just a matter of timing. I often don't respond when I don't have personal experience with an issue. Try not to take it personally. I have never done the LC and i was kind of waiting to see what others would say. I hope you feel all better and I'm glad the cleanse was successful. I hope to do it soon, but I'm a little nervous about it. It sounds so very intense! Best wishes to you!!!!!!

aw, i haven't been on the forum much this weekend, super busy.
i'm interested in doing this at some point but also have no experience with it, what you described definitely sounds like your body was doing some deep cleaning though - very cool. glad it was a success!

And I didn't respond because I think you had a touch of the flu, and figured I probably shouldn't say that on here... I think fever is the body's response to infection, not cleansing. So, don't take it personally, everyone has their reason...anyway, glad it worked out!
rawnpaw -- just saw your post... Glad you're feeling better. Sounds like you're getting rid of some gnarly stuff!!! BETTER OUT THAN IN!! ;)

Thanks guys! I super appreciate your replies! Sorry if I sounded like a self-focused little brat. I must admit I DID feel a bit self-focused last night! Plus, it was scary! The peeps on RFT offer so much good advice and my husband was totally clueless. I can't believe I chose Easter to do this cleanse! I wasn't a very good "Easter Bunny"- my DH stepped up to the plate and did everything, bless his heart. I have been releasing gallstones all day. Just about 20 minutes ago, a really big one came out! EWWWWW!!
I can't believe what is in me and this is just the start! Between raw foods and the liver cleanses, plus the juice feast I plan on doing in May I should be one clean lady after all said and done! I just wish it weren't such a JOURNEY and that I could just snap my fingers- SNAP!- and be CLEANED OUT! No pain, no cravings, no detox, no colonics... You know, the easy way!!!!! Don't think that's gonna happen!!!!! Oh well, nice to wish anyway.
Good night, and thanks again for replying, even if you didn't have experience with it! I REALLY don't think that was the flu as it came on SO SUDDEN and then disappeared after just a couple hours! Go figure!

RPGirl:
I only found this just now while searching "Liver Cleanse". Sorry it was so rough, but it sounds like it was successful.
What liver cleanse did you do? I'm really interested in doing one, just trying to research it as much as possible.
Thanks!

Rawnpawgirl, I just now saw this post, and have found it very helpful. As you can see, I don't post much. Mostly, this is because I'm no expert, and just consider myself someone who's "learning". I too, am considering a liver cleanse in the next couple of weeks. Which one did you do? Did you do Allissa's? I have all the symptoms of gallstones and I hope this works for me. Every person I speak to seems to think I need to have my gallbladder out! Now, if I don't have a properly functioning gallbladder, how will removing it make it work better? Go figure. Your info. on releasing those gallstones has really encouraged me to go ahead with my cleanse. Thank you.:)
