I'm sure a lot of you have heard of this...16 different types and I am just wondering if there are certain types that are more predisposed to the raw lifestyle and how you think your type might affect your approach to converting to raw, or your sub-raw beliefs etc.
So, if you're interested, go to this site:
http://www.personalitypage.com/four-prefs.html (on this page you will find the 4 preferences which will inturn give you 4 letters. For example the first two preferences you choose from are Introvert or Extrovert. So you are picking an either/or for each of the 4 pairs, just one for each 4 sections. *Please note that the second two preferences you chose from are called Sensing and Intuition, the letters are S and N (as "I" is already used in the previous section to represent introvert...) Hope that makes sense. But I find doing this is easier than taking the test, more reliable and on this site the test isn't free anyway.
Then go to this page:
http://www.personalitypage.com/high-level.html
....here you can match up your letters, click on them and read a huge read up, all about you....and you're 'title'.
You'll be Truly amazed if you haven't done this before!
And finally come back on here and tell me what you are??? ...and if you think it has anything to do with you're raw inclinations and journey.
Thanks!:)
PS, I am an 'Idealist', and ofcourse that seems to make sense with being raw, but I'll delve into that later on in the thread if this conversation goes anywhere...:p
I'm "The Inspirer," and it may make me predisposed to raw... I know that a lot of the questions were about intuition. I realize that there is plenty of evidence that raw food is healthy, but it's so different that sometimes it takes a step out of comfort zone and just continuing knowing it FEELS better.
Even if sometimes the non-raw world doesn't understand or agree.

Well, the letters for Inspirer and Idealist are identical except you're an extrovert and I'm an introvert.
But othewise, we are exactly the same :) I say that counts. lol.
I agree, all the logic and facts aside, how can you argue with how you feel?

ISTJ = "The Duty Fulfiller" ;-) makes sense to me, especially as a stay-at-home mom.
I'm definitely not the creative type, except in the raw kitchen, and I'm quite religious in a very orthodox and conservative way . So, probably not your typical raw food eater!

ok, so another extroverted 'NFP'
...and a duty fulfiller, aaah, my dh is one of those ;)
That makes sense as well, which actually is kind of weird being the opposite of the NFP types....he doesn't like changing his ways much though. But he will embrace it well if he Has to...

Another ENFP here! I've done the test a few times over the years and always been consistent in that outcome. And yes the description describes me well. Full of enthusiasm, hate routine and repeatitive tasks, love people, want to live life the the full and the stuff about values hit home too.
My H is an ENTJ, so he likes taking charge and having things organised!

I'm an INFJ. I don't know if it had much to do with my going raw, but I know that I trusted my intuition when I started thinking raw is for me!

i'd say i'm mostly istj. there are a lot of things that definitely described me and a few that were not me. but yes mostly istj. but no matter what, raw will be the way i live my life. (well i gotta get back on raw after i finish my mc, i should add). which i can't wait for. all those ripe watermelons when i finish will be absolutely divine!

Bingo - I couldn't have said it better! Supposedly we INFJs only make up about 2% of the population as well...
One thing I can see though that might have led us to raw is the being highly-attuned to unseen things, and the raw diet can also have this effect on people after they follow it long enough. Many report feeling much more sensitive, their intuition heightened, and ability to sense the other realms heightened as well. Just something to consider...

ok, just thought I'd try and figure this out a bit, we definately have some more common categories than others!
If we look at the letters themselves this is the breakdown:
Extrovertion/Introvertion
E's: 9
I's: 8
Sensing/Intuition
S's: 4
N's: 13
Thinking/Feeling
T's: 8
F's: 9
Judging/Perceiving
J's: 8
P's: 9
Pretty balanced except for that Intuition lead. I wonder if the Sensors arrived at raw, or became raw then, by nothing having to do with intuition.
I know for myself, an INFP, that Intuition plays a huge role when it comes to raw.
Anyways, this was fun! I hope you all liked reading up on yourselves too ;)

I'm an idealist.
This cracked me up when I read it:
"When it comes to the mundane details of life maintenance, INFPs are typically completely unaware of such things. They might go for long periods without noticing a stain on the carpet, but carefully and meticulously brush a speck of dust off of their project booklet."
-so true. my rooms are as messy as can be, but if I randomly see the tiniest piece of lint on my shirt I have to get it off or it will bug me hahaha

INFJ... and it's a very accurate description. I can't say that my personality type led me to raw food, but I do tend to trust my intuition above all else and have always thought something was "missing" in "synthetic food and vitamins".
I, too, have done this test several times, on my own, as well as in meetings for my job. It's tough to be an INFJ and spend a day doing "team building" exercises. :p

Ack! I did this a year ago and couldn't remember! I found my info though  I am 'The Visionary' ENTP. It's most definitely me..'warts' n' all! LOL! It makes sense too...I came back to raw through the research I did for my website. It was the logical thing to do.

If anyone is interested in knowing more about a Myers-Briggs workshop for your board, work group, company or non-profit group and you are located in or near the Chicago area, I am qualified to administer the actual exam and can conduct half day and full day workshop using the actual Myers-Briggs indicator.
I hope it's okay to post this here... it just happens to be one of the things I do as part of my leadership development practice so I thought I'd mention it since the topic is out here! :)

Same here - it just feels right to this highly-sensitive introverted intuitively-oriented gal here!
I checked into the personality test quite a while back, and yes, INFJ describes me perfectly, to a T, in fact. We don't make up very much of the population either, which is often why I feel out of it in most social and work situations. At work, I am best left alone, without having to deal with the public, at least while I was still there anyway. But I have been home as an artist since 1988, leaving my last out-of-the-house job thankfully behind.

I am a ENFJ (Extrovert-iNtuitive-Feeling-Judging) "The Giver" and my Hubby is a INFP (Introvert-iNtuitive-Feeling-Perceiving) "The Idealist" which according to this we are a perfect match. :D

I'm an INTJ - Introverted iNtuitive Thinking Judging 'scientist'
Since I did plan on following this type of diet when I was in my pre teens I guess you could say that ya my personality has a lot to do with me finding and transitioning to raw foods in my early 20s. I had planned this from observing adults and how they looked, what they ate and did for a living.
