I was just wondering what you eat as a typical daily menu.

And yes, I know there is no such thing as a typical menu (!) but I think I am undereating and not having enough prepared food with me which is why I keep falling off and going for cooked.

I don't like preparing too much food in advance as I gave myself food poisoning from doing that once. However I haven't seemed to get myself organised enough and keep running out of food. I leave for work early which means I don't have time for juice / smoothies before I go and stick to fruit, I have salad and avo for lunch and 4pm is my danger zone - raw just doesn't seem to cut it then somehow.

How much food do you prep in advance? How much do you take with you during the day. I should add only I am raw in my house - H isn't into it.

You're right, there is no typical day. But today I've eaten 3 bowls of kale salad with everything on top (fruit, nuts, seeds, gogi berries, dried cranberries, raisins). I've also had lots of ice water with lemon. I've had a bottle of Divine Grape Kombucha. I'm getting ready to have the rest of my kale salad (again with everything). In total, the salad is about two heads of kale + onions + avocado + tomato. Plus dressing. Don't forget the dressing

My hormones are raging so I've eaten all day. In a couple of days my appetite will mellow out.

Have you tried 'marathon' uncooking - I try to make enough for 3 days - like raw soup, pate with sunflower seeds, raw crackers with hummus or almond butter, almond milk, etc. I do not like to keep anything beyond 3 days for freshness purposes. Sound like you need to pack food every night for the next work day. Fruit salad, green salad, pate with crackers, dessert, trail mix, nuts with agave and cinnamon dehydrated.... I have to pack alot of food with me or I find that due to hunger I will stray. I too am the only one in the house raw. But it is not a problem - I just make different meals - cooked and uncooked. I don't have 'typical' eating days - I just listen to my body as some days I am more hungry than others. When you are hungry - eat. What someone else eats may not be enough for you - or it may be too much. You have to gauge how you feel - how is your energy level. If you still feel hungry you are not eating enough. And the only way to help is to make alot of food. Alissa recommends that you make alot of food and keep it on hand when you leave the house. Good luck to you.
