Hi Everyone,
Today is my fourth day raw, and I feel awful! I am light headed, my stomach feels queasy, and I am so tired. Ok so I know this is probably all part of the cleanse, but it is scary to feel this way. Did anyone else feel like this? And how long did it last?
Thanks!

Out of curiosity, what was your diet like prior to raw?

I ate organic, vegetarian, but did eat a lot of soy.

It might be...but make sure you're drinking tons of water and eating enough...there should be no deprivation....

Thanks, I am sure it is detox! So far today I have had a green smoothie, and carrots and pea pods with guacomole (eating that right now). I can not wait until I get my food dehydrator and can make some recipes.
Another question, if something is flash pasteurized is it still RAW?

Hang in there mluce........I've had so many tired days. the best thing to do is just give into whatever your body wants: if it's a nap, take a nap. it's been beautiful in my experience to work in harmony with my body instead of against it.
blessings,

I had many sick days, dizzy, headaches, when I cut out caffeine, wheat, dairy and sugar at the same time. I had the sweats and shakes. Then, 2 months later I went raw. Hang in there, I am completely convinced it is the best way of eating available to us. It is now 4 months post beginning of detox and 2 months post 100% raw diet for me and I bounce off the ceiling at 44 years of age. My teenagers laugh at how quickly I run up the stairs!!
Enjoy, use this site for support, these people are amazing.

Detox, yes.... But there is more. Junk foods and cooked foods (including soy!) are physically addictive. So when you abruptly stop those foods you are bound to experience withdrawal symptoms, just like someone who will get severe headaches after stopping with coffee or tea. Withdrawal symptoms of addictive foods generally don't last longer than a day or 5, the first 3 days will be the worst. If your symptoms last much longer than that, yes, then we are talking about true detox, although withdrawal is also part of detox in a way.
