How much better for you are sprouted pumpkin and sunflower seeds than the unsprouted ones? I had asked for them at my health food store. They finally got them in but I find them lacking in the taste/texture dept. They are oddly dry and sort of puffed full of air. I buy raw pumpkin seed bars that use sprouted seeds and I do like those. I know I could make the sprouted ones myself but it's just easier to buy them. I can eat them. They're okay, but I kind of like the plain raw ones better.

I read that as long as they're soaked for at least 4 hrs, you can dehydrate them and eat them just fine, this book suggested that seeds were the exception to the ''you must sprout then dehydrate for best digestion" rule
Personally, I have a hard time with unsoaked nuts, but I soaked some the other day (including sunflower seeds) then just dehyrdated them and I felt really good after eating them, I think soaking is the key- plus I'm deathly afraid of the sprouting process lol!

These are sprouted and dehydrated. I just don't like the flavor/texture of them as well as the plain raw ones. I was thinking they were supposed to be a lot better for you, but if not, I will just stick with the plain raw ones.
