Do you store coconut butter in the fridge? I bought some from Alissa and it doesn't say on it.

The oil & butter can both be stored at room temperature.

What is coconut "butter"? I have only bought the oil, which looks like butter at room temp, and sort of spreads like butter when a bit warmer like on skin.

coconut butter is the meat and the oil mixed together. it goes really really well in any chocolate recipe... cause its hard at room temp. that way you can make real chocolate bars with the smooth creamy milky texture, its amazing!!!!

It's so funny, I and many others used to think it was the same thing, but yes, it's completely different. It looks really amazing! I can't wait to try it. I'm hoping to make those Super Candy bars...found here http://freshtopia.net/vlog/?p=143 for Easter :)

my fiance found an article for me that said you can extend the shelf life of coconut oil if you refrigerate it, even though it doesn't have to be, and it already has a long shelf life, but I'm an expiration date freak so I didn't want it to go bad before I could finish it...
mine's in the fridge, it melts beautifully in the dehydrator when I need to use it.
